I am based in North Norfolk and have been a self employed artist for nineteen years.
I love to draw wildlife, insect and birds. I try to capture a feeling of movement within my work and intentionally leave space, so that it look as though they have wandered across the paper.
I use pencil, drawing pens and acrylic inks on watercolour paper to achieve my original pieces. Inks help me produce vibrant paintings with the freedom to show brushstrokes within the painting. I love how the inks can be layered whilst retaining their brightness.
I have a degree in Scenograpy (Theatre Design) from Bretton Hall and spent the early part of my career working in the creative industry as a scenic painter and prop maker. I have been lucky enough to work worldwide on a number of museums and visitor attractions, whilst closer to home I've worked on theatrical sets, murals and film.
